Tracking information, “Cookies” & IP Address Use

Tracking information is collected as you navigate through our website (the “Website”) or use the Service, including, but not limited to geographic areas.

To help us serve your needs better, we use “cookies” to store and sometimes track user information. What information do we collect?

We collect information during various stages of your use of our Service. The current information that we gather can be split into 3 categories, these are listed and then referenced throughout this document below:

Contact Information

  • Your email address - to provide you with an email receipt

  • Your username - this will be the same as your email. So you can login securely to our service

  • Your mobile number - to provide you with SMS updates of a booking

  • Your contact list - if you wish to use the “buddy feature” This allows us to send messages to another person in your contact list when you are using our service.  Any personal information used is only for the operation and fulfilment of a service requested by you. You may disable this permission without affecting the service.

 

Payment Information

  • Credit/Debit Card Billing Address and Encrypted (and tokenized) Credit/Debit Card information *

*If you choose credit/debit card as your payment method

 

Other

  • Your feedback which you provide at the end of a booking using The CabFusion Network Limited

  • Your IP Address

 

Why do we collect this information?

We only handle the information we need to provide a superior service, and to ensure that we are safe and secure – protected from fraud.

 

Which 3rd Parties have access to my information, and why?

We work with a number of 3rd Parties to ensure that we can provide the superior service. These are listed below, along with the reasons.

  • The The CabFusion Network Limited Cab Companies

We provide your contact information to ensure that they are able to provide the superior service that we have promised to you. They also may receive feedback provided by you in regards to the service they have provided. This information is only provided to the Cab Companies that you use on our network.

  • Stripe

We provide your contact information, Payment Information and your IP Address. This is to ensure a safe and secure payment solution with your credit/debit card. We also provide this information to Stripe to ensure that they can manage and tackle fraud. This information is only provided if you choose credit/debit card as your payment method.

  • Zendesk

Upon contacting us at support@cabfusion.com your contact information is inputted into Zendesk. This is to ensure that we can provide superior customer service to you.

  • Faretext

We provide Faretext with your mobile number. This is to ensure that we can communicate to you via SMS and provide superior customer service. This information is provided to Faretext upon registration when we send out verification text.

  • Cordic Ltd

They manage elements of our infrastructure. As a result, they have access to your Contact Information, Payment Information, along with Feedback and your IP Address. They are fully compliant with GDPR.

  • Microsoft/Office 365

Although we do not provide Microsoft with any information, they are still a data processor as we use their infrastructure. They are fully compliant with GDPR.

 

  • Mailchimp

We provide Mailchimp with your contact information. This allows us to send out important communications, including, but not limited to ‘marketing, notifications of updates to our policies and terms, notifications of data breaches’

These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

The Company cooperates with government and police and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process, to protect the property and rights of the Company or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, an illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.

The personally identifiable information we collect is securely stored within our database, and we use standard, industry-wide, commercially reasonable security practices such as encryption, firewalls and SSL (Secure Socket Layers) for protecting your information. However, as effective as encryption technology is, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information you supply won’t be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet, and any information you transmit to the Company you do at your own risk. We recommend that you not disclose your password to anyone.

What happens if there is a data breach?

In the unlikely event there is a data breach, and the breach is likely to result in a high risk of adversely affecting your rights and freedoms, then we are duty bound to inform you, without undue delay (72Hrs). We will inform the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) of the breach, within 72Hrs of discovery. Rest assured that the likelihood of this is low, and that you credit/debit card information is fully encrypted to required regulations to reduce the impact of a data breach if one was to occur.

 

Will you ever sell my data?

Never – your data belongs to you. You have trusted us with it and we will never sell it. Rest assured your data is safe with us.

  3. Click onto profile, and confirm password
